In the Kunstkamera section, we talk about the most interesting and unusual loaded games that have been released in recent weeks. Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Store, Wiware and DSIWARE, Apple App Store – independent projects regularly appear in all these networks that are not in the main sections of our site, but which we are not entitled to be silent. Briefly about the most noticeable of them – here.
In this issue: zombie-zombie-zombie, space pixels, eye planes and turquoils
Dead Nation
Genre: Action
Developer: Housemarque
Platform: PS3 (450 rubles)
There are already so many isometric shooters (especially about zombies) that it is not to replay in their entire life, and the unspoken struggle between the developers does not subside. Although, it would seem, who needs a million identical games? Private user PSN or XBLA, most likely, will buy only one such shooter and will play it all the way, not returning to the genre of "wet zombie, view from the top for a long time. A Dead Nation outwardly it is generally easy to confuse with Zombie Apocalypse , which for Konami Do it (just think!) Authors Vampire: The Masquarade – Redemption. But it is amazing: Zombie Apocalypse is an unprofitable action movie on boring arenas, and Dead Nation from a much less experienced studio (although you probably heard about Super Stardust ) executed an order of magnitude better.
First of all, the atmosphere works here, it is practically Left 4 Dead On the plane: dark, lightning, flashes, some howls (soundless sound), mucus, swamps, cartridges are always not enough. The picture is perfect: the flashlight with a clear light of the flashlight wants to admire the levels on end (probably a distracting maneuver), and having run into a new location, you immediately look for some tanks to explode beautifully. Instead of a cooperative shooting of a living, there is a full -fledged campaign on the arenas, which, however, is still better to take place with a partner. Well, what happens at the levels, we hope, we don’t need to: zombies, zombies, explosions, zombies, first -aid kits, new shotgun, boss. Then the screensaver, shop (glasses, of course, are spent on weapons and cartridges) – and again zombies.
The problem of Dead Nation is the same as for any zombie game-the zombie themselves, which we, honestly, have already seen in the coffin. But if you are still a craving for the walking dead, then you will not find the best arcade shooter on this topic now.

Bit.Trip Fate
Genre: Scrolling
Developer: Gaijin Games
Platform: WII (800 Nintendo Points)
You can know about the video commander, even if you have never heard about Bit.Trip : He is one of the playable characters in Super Meat Boy. In turn, Mitboy received Camo in Fate : When the main character selects a bonus with his image, this allows the video to shoot with huge pieces of irrigated meat for some time. Enemies fly to pieces!
With the exception of a meat attack, Bit.Trip Fate is, of course, the repetition of the passed: before that, Gaijin Games has already released four games about the adventures of the commander. This is all the same strange, but incredibly attractive scrolling. The hero (pixel) moves from left to right, shoots pixels in pixel enemies, some pixel mechanisms turn around, pixel blocks go, and periodically everything explodes with pixel explosions and flourishes pixel rainbow. But there is also gameplay subtlety: the video moves not as he wants, but strictly according to a pre -drawn curve (which is periodically divided) – so to dodge the pixel waste flying on you at times is many times more difficult. And when the boss is on the screen, it is necessary to eat along the line like a circus.
At the same time, a terrible cosmic mix of technology and chiptun was sawn behind the scenes: the mood of the 80s is reproduced very accurately, and in general it is still unique audiovisual experience, even for the fifth time in a row. In principle, even playing FATE is completely optional (especially since it is very difficult) – ask a friend to take control, make the sound louder and have fun.

AirPort Mania: First Flight
Genre: Puzzle
Developer: Reflexive Entertainment
Platforms: WII (500 Nintendo Points), PC (150 rubles), iPhone (150 rubles)
AirPort Mania: First Flight – the casual simulator of the dispatcher at the airport. You indicate by flying aircraft which landing strip to sit on, which loading terminal to drive up, forced them to plant passengers with a separate click (it takes about twenty seconds) and immediately load new ones (you need to wait a little more), and then reject the strip and take off again. For each action you are given a certain time: having stood idle for too long, the aircraft is scornfully snort, and its maintenance will not bring you glasses. An important detail: Aircraft are different colors, and they require stripes and terminals of the corresponding coloring.
It sounds easy, but imagine when there are three or five such aircraft. And when there are a lot of planes, and the strip is one? From level to level, the task is complicated, the airport grows, it becomes insanely difficult to keep track of everything, and the game from the Arcade turns into a complex puzzle. On PC or even Wii, picking with Airport Mania is probably still pointless, but if you have an iPhone, we advise you to try. Or wait for the version for DS: the developers are only in plans for the developers.

Bejeweled 3
Genre: Puzzle
Developer: Popcap Games
Platform: PC ($ 19,99)
The first question that arises in any person who is understanding in the games of a person when you begin to talk with him about Bejeweled 3 : “And what else can be invented in Bejeweled?»Conceptual simplicity, which made the casual series so popular, really could eventually play a cruel joke with him. If the essence of your game can be explained without problems with a short phrase “Combine multi -colored pebbles in groups of three”, then, indeed, what are you going to surprise the audience for the third time in a row?
Popcap Games Found a simple answer to this. Leaving the “classic” game mode in inviolability – it is without any significant changes copied from the first two Bejeweledes – the developers composed many additional modes. In Lightning, you are constantly driving a timer and you have to not only accumulate prize glasses, but also integrate special stones in combinations that add time. In Poker, the main task is to collect as many set combinations from stones of different colors. The largest of the new modes is perhaps Quest, where, as you can guess from the name, the player needs to perform various tasks on the board.
Well, the most unusual – Zen. Here Bejeweled 3 leaves the usual game territory and becomes something evolutionarily close to Brain Training Dr. Kavashima. The game suggests when it is necessary to inhale and exhale in order to achieve maximum relaxation, “mantras” appear and disappear from below – motivational slogans, divided into thematic groups that can be changed depending on what you specifically want to inspire yourself (“The fight against harmful habits "no one is interested in anyone?), and binary rhythms are buzzing in the headphones – Popcap believes that for your brain they will be extremely useful.
But in essence, this is all the same bejeweled. Tinted, tinted, improved and expanded, but well -familiar for a long time. And I must say that by the third part the game is not so inspiring. Next time, to attract players, Popcap will https://lucky-mister-casino.co.uk/ have to come up with something out of the ordinary.
